Warbirds and Wheels Museum and Retro Diner is located just 5 minutes from Wanaka, at Wanaka Airport.
NOTE: EASTER 2019 – From Good Friday through to Easter Monday, we will be closed and reopening on Tuesday 23rd April.
We will also be closed on ANZAC Day 25th April.
Warbirds & Wheels museum houses New Zealand’s best collection of rare and exotic classic and vintage vehicles. The attraction also boasts five fighter aircraft from World War 1, World War 2 through to the impressive SkyHawk and more modern jets.
We have a display on local aviation legend Sir Tim Wallis, Ralph Watson Workshop, Wanaka Wearable Creations and Grahame Sydney lithographs.
Our unique and award winning 1950’s Retro Diner is a great spot for lunch or a coffee with friends and hosts Cars Over Coffee Breakfast on the first Sunday of the month.
Warbirds and Wheels hosts regular functions and can hold events for up to 400 people. We have meeting rooms and a conference venue for hire, with onsite catering, free parking and flexible hourly or daily rates.
